SOFIA TRAPAGA

Research Associate

Sofia graduated from Smith College in 2020, majoring in Neuroscience. She worked in New York as an au pair for a year before joining the SCAN lab in September of 2022. Sofia wants to earn a master’s degree in computer science before pursuing a career in computational neuroscience.

MADISON WOLPERT

Research Associate

Madison is a Research Associate in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2022, with a degree in Psychology. She previously researched stress and child development and wants to continue to research in this field. Madison joined the SCAN Lab June of 2023 and wants to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology in the future.

BRADLEY SUSSKIND

Lab Manager

Bradley Susskind is a Research Associate in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone Health. Bradley graduated with high honors from Lehigh University in the Spring of 2022 where he studied Psychology and minored in Biology and Public Health. Bradley has prior research experience working at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia within their Center for Autism Research and has also studied within the family and integrative medicine realm at St. Luke’s University Health Network. Bradley continues to follow his passion studying childhood development working on Dr. Moriah Thomason’s COVID-19 and Perinatal Experiences (COPE) Study and the RECOVER Kids Study. Following his time at NYU Langone Health, Bradley plans to pursue a degree in medicine and has a particular interest in child and adolescent psychiatry.

HARINI SRINIVASAN

Research Associate

Harini is a 4th year undergraduate at Barnard College studying Neuroscience and Behavior and Science and Public Policy. Harini has been conducting research with Dr. Moriah Thomason since September 2020, and she is a member of the COPE Study's Data Acquisition and Data Processing Teams. In addition, Harini is pursuing her senior thesis studying the associations between prenatal maternal stress, fetal hippocampal functional connectivity and toddler executive functioning. After graduating in May 2022, Harini plans to conduct research before pursuing a degree in medicine, specifically in the field of psychiatry.

 MATTHEW PEREZ

Research Associate

Matthew graduated from Bowdoin College as a neuroscience major. As an undergraduate, he worked as a research assistant in an EEG-based lab focused on elucidating on neural connectivity during memory processes. Moreover, he has a passion for working with children, stemming from both his personal experiences as an older brother and through his time as a camp counselor and volunteer. He hopes to combine his interest in neuroscience and working with children in his path towards becoming a child psychiatrist.
